A compilation of drone tracks. I recorded one track a day for 10 days, and this compilation is the result.

The title and cover art were both an allusion to the 1966 mass shooting at the University of Texas by Charles Whitman. At the time, I was interested in exploring the events leading up to his actions, since there was a very clear correlation between his failing mental health, his resistance to treatment, and the involuntary intrusive thoughts that impeded his ability to function or make proper decisions.

This album was not meant to endorse, condone, or have any sort of reverence for Charles Whitman or his actions, but to explore an example of a worst case scenario when mental health is at its most severe and the horrific situations that stigmatizing or neglecting it can lead to.

Also, I was 21 years old trying to be edgy and provocative in a way that was deeply problematic, shortsighted, and ill-conceived. There was no real artistic merit for its use. I can see now that it was incredibly insensitive and a direct result of my immaturity at the time, and I deeply apologize to anyone I have hurt or disrespected through using it.
